Head Coach Lyndse Hokanson
"There have been some moments this season I have been disappointed in elements of our performance, be it effort or tactical execution. Today, I left disappointed for our group because they gave absolutely everything they had for over 90 minutes, and that's all that we asked of them. Looking at the stats, I am hard pressed to feel that they fully represent the rhythm of the game to anyone who was here today. We forced a possession-oriented Villanova team to find ways to break us down and made it very challenging for them to do so.
There were moments we looked really dangerous and felt we could have walked away with a 2-1 score the other way. Credit to Villanova for finding a way to get the result, but I can't say enough how excited I am about the growth of our team over the last 6 weeks.
We will feel the sting of this one, but only for a brief while as we turn our sights to what is bound to be another competitive year in the Patriot League"
