Colgate men's rowing invites inexperienced and novice rowers to try out as walk-ons for its varsity team. Though an athletic background is preferred, no rowing experience is required. 

Members of the team will earn the opportunity to compete locally and throughout the country, racing against other top schools in the IRA (Intercollegiate Rowing Association), including Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Washington, Cal Berkley, Drexel, Temple and Cornell, and participate in training trips in Florida. 

Exemplifying what it means to be true scholar-athletes, the Colgate men's rowing team finished the 2021 season ranked 17th in the nation and with an average GPA of 3.51.
