HAMILTON - You just can't script it. In front of family and former teammates, Liz Auby notched her second straight shutout and sixth of the year. No Raider goalie in program history has posted more shutouts in a single season than Auby's six.
The senior also tied Julia Vandyk and Jen Burtaw at second on the all-time career shutouts list with 12.
Auby earned her first collegiate win at Class of 1965 Arena against Merrimack in her maroon and white debut. Since then, she has only lost three decisions on home ice, sporting an impressive record of 19-3.
The Stoughton, Wis. product also set a record for minutes played by a goalie in a single season over the program's history.
Sammy Smigliani set out to rewrite the record book as well. The freshman came into Saturday's matchup two shy of tying the record for points in a season by a freshman. Smigliani followed through with two goals and an assist to claim the top spot with 33 total points.

The milestones didn't stop there. Junior Coralie Larose scored a goal along with three assists to reach the half-century mark in career points.
With fast starts becoming a welcomed theme for the Raiders over the course of a small win streak, Colgate hit the ice with a purpose once again and put the game seemingly out of reach early. Smigliani opened the scoring with her first of two before Shelby Wood found the back of the net on a rocket of a slap shot.
Malia Schneider closed the first period with a wrist shot to create a 3-0 advantage.
In a span of one minute and 30 seconds, a 3-0 lead turned into a 6-0 lead. Smigliani netted her second of the day before assisting on a goal by Kaitlyn O'Donohoe to secure the freshman points record. Sydney Bard scored the second of her career soon after as Larose assisted to reach 50 career points.
Towards the end of the second period, it was a twin connection for Colgate. Eleri MacKay fed Delani MacKay with the latter lighting the lamp for Colgate's seventh goal.
Coralie Larose wrapped up a wild period with a shorthanded goal.
In the third, it was safe for Colgate to cruise to the victory. Tanner Gates added yet another for good measure in final minutes.
Nine goals marks the most scored by a Colgate team since Feb. 25, 2006 when a group led by Scott Wiley poured the same amount on Union at Starr Rink.
