VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Signed Colgate men's hockey commit Carter Gylander has been selected in the 2019 NHL Draft by the Detroit Red Wings. A 6-5, 172 goaltender, Gylander was selected in the seventh round and No. 191 overall.
A native of Beaumont, Alberta, Gylander currently plays with the Sherwood Park Crusaders of the AJHL, where he averaged a .915 save percentage and 2.43 goals against average in the 2018-19 campaign. Slated to play for the Raiders in future seasons, Gylander has signed a National Letter of Intent with the Colgate hockey program.

Colton Point in 2016.
