Caddigan Scores Four at Bucknell

Bison Prevail 10-8 in Colgate Season Finale

LEWISBURG, Pa. – James Caddigan scored a career-high four goals but Colgate couldn't prevent Bucknell from claiming a spot in the Patriot League tournament in a 10-8 decision.

The Bison needed a victory after Navy knocked off Boston University and Holy Cross went on to defeat Lehigh in other action Friday night, setting up a three-way tie for fifth place. Bucknell claims the fifth position and Holy Cross sixth, with Navy and Colgate just on the outside of this year's field.

Caddigan scored twice in the first quarter, his first multigoal game this season. He then matched and surpassed his career high of three goals with back-to-back tallies in that fourth that pulled the Raiders within the final margin.

Colgate then looked to have pulled within a goal at 10-9 when Griffin Brown followed his own miss with a rebound goal. But Brown was ruled to have stepped a toe in the crease and Bucknell held on over the final 1:16.

Bucknell held Colgate scoreless over the last 10:36 of the first half to lead 6-4 at halftime. The Bison then went in front 9-6 heading to the fourth when Will Yorke scored with three seconds on the clock.

Caddigan's four goals pushed his season total to 13, good for fourth on the team.
