Scouting Clarkson
Despite recording three points in the final weekend of the regular season, Clarkson backed into the playoffs as they went 2-5-5 in the final 12 games of the season to finish third in the league standings. The Golden Knights are hosting an ECAC Hockey Quarterfinal series for the first time since the 2007-08 season when they also hosted the Raiders with Colgate winning the series, 2-1. Clarkson is led offensively this season by sophomore Sheldon Rempal with 21 goals and 39 points while senior defenseman Kelly Summers leads the team with 22 assists. Clarkson has three 30-point scorers and 10 players with over 10 points this season along with three players with 10 or more goals. Jake Kielly sports a 19-8-6 record between the pipes with a 1.86 GAA and .929 save percentage for the Golden Knights. Kielly was named a Top 10 Semifinalist for the Mike Richter Award.

Colgate-Clarkson
Colgate and Clarkson are meeting in the postseason for the first time since the 2008 ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals which Colgate won, 2-1. The Raiders fell in game one of that series before coming back to win the next two games to take the series. The Raiders are 4-4 all-time against the Golden Knights in the postseason. Colgate and Clarkson tied their most recent meeting on Feb. 10 up at Cheel with the Raiders scoring three goals in the third period to overcome a two-goal deficit to tie Clarkson. Colgate is 51-85-18 all-time against Clarkson and are looking for their first win at Cheel since the 2014-15 season.

Last Time Out
The Raiders went to three games in their best-of-three games first round series with the Rensselaer Engineers last weekend but pulled off the program's first playoff series win since the 2014-15 season. Colgate took game one of the series before falling in a tough game two on Saturday night. The Raiders rebounded in Game 3 to take the series with their first postseason shutout since the 2012 season.
Started from the Bottom
Heading into the season, the Raiders were picked to finish 11th by the league's coaches and 12th by the media in the preseason polls. Colgate has a seven-win turnaround overall and four-win turnaround in league play on its way to its fifth-place tie in the league standings. Colgate's 16 overall wins and 10 league wins are its most since finishing the 2014-15 season with 22 wins and 11 in league play. The Raiders are looking to get back to the league's championship weekend for the first time since that 2014-15 season.
