A layup from junior
Francisco Amiel finally snapped the Army streak, but it was still a one-point game at 29-28 with 6:18 to play. An O'Brien jumper was followed by five-straight Rayman points and a trey from senior
Jordan Swopshire to comprise a 10-0 Raider run that gave Colgate a 39-28 edge with 3:14 left on the clock.
The Black Knights scored 10 of the half's final 13 points, however, to trim Colgate's lead to four at 42-38 heading into the locker room.
Army worked its way within two at 47-45 in the opening three minutes of the second term before the Raiders answered with an 11-3 run. The streak saw four points from both Rayman and Batt and three from O'Brien as Colgate pulled ahead 58-48 at 13:45.
The game of runs continued, though, as Army used another strong stretch to narrow the Raider lead to one at 62-61 with 9:45 left on the clock. The Raiders worked their lead back to six three minutes later, but the Black Knights rattled off seven-straight points to momentarily jump in front 75-74 with 2:26 to play.
Rayman drilled a key three-pointer at the 2:01 mark that kickstarted Colgate's 13-8 game-closing run. Eight of those 13 points came from the free throw line to seal the 87-83 victory and the season sweep of the Black Knights.
