HAMILTON –
Colgate women's lacrosse senior attacker Isabel Kreitler tied her career high with five goals and sophomore goalkeeper Asil Asfour made a career-best 10 saves, but the Raiders weren't able to stop Navy's league-leading offense in a 20-10 loss to the Mids Saturday afternoon.

The Raiders were within 9-8 of Navy four minutes into the second half, but the Mids closed the game on an 11-2 run en route to the 20-10 victory. In addition to Kreitler's five goals, junior Haley O'Hanlon and first-year Alissa Masini added two goals apiece.

The Mids got on the board a minute into the contest on a goal from Julia Collins. Asfour came up with two big saves in the next three minutes before the Raiders tied the game when a pass from Kreitler found O'Hanlon who buried it in the back of the net.

That goal kicked off a 3-0 run for the Raiders as Kreitler followed with the next two goals within a minute-long span to give the Raiders a 3-1 advantage at the 23:55 mark.

The Colgate defense kept the Mids off the board for over 10 minutes until Navy's Morgan Young scored at the 18:49 mark and sparked a 5-1 Mids run over the next six minutes. Masini scored Colgate's goal during the stretch, but Navy used the 5-1 streak to take a 6-4 lead with just under 13 minutes left in the term.

Kreitler made it a hat trick to halt the Navy streak at the 12:27 mark and pull the Raiders within 6-5. The Mids closed the term on a 3-1 run, however, to take a 9-6 lead into halftime.

Kreitler scored two more goals within the first four minutes of the second term to run her game total to five and pull Colgate within 9-8 with 26:08 to play. Navy's Jenna Collins answered with back-to-back goals to re-extend Navy's lead to three at 11-8 four minutes later.

O'Hanlon snapped the game's seven-minute scoreless streak at the 15:14 mark, but the Mids rattled off the next six goals to take a 17-9 lead as the clock wound down to 5:54.

First-year Payton Gabriel got a goal back for the Raiders with 4:44 left on the clock, but the Mids scored the final three goals of the game to claim the 20-10 victory.
