VERONA, N.Y. – The Colgate women's tennis team battled hard in a challenging match against Drexel, falling 4-0 to the Dragons at the Turning Stone Sportsplex.
Lauren Hyland (Greenwich, Connecticut) had a hard fought match at No. 1 singles against Drexel's Honami Yazawa, falling 7-5 in the first set before the match was finished with the Dragons claiming 4-0 win.
Drexel swept all three doubles matches by the same score, 6-1.
The Dragons continued with a solid performance in singles play as they won matches at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 to close out the day.
Hannah Fleckenstein (Newburgh, New York),
Lauren O'Brien (Leawood, Kansas) and
Jordan Williams (Fort Washington, Maryland) all took losses for the Raiders in the challenging match.
