Raiders Sweep Siena, 7-0

Five Different Raiders Pick Up Two Wins in First Match of Spring Season

VERONA, N.Y. – The Colgate men's tennis got off to a hot start with the 2017 spring season as the Raiders swept the Siena Saints, 7-0, Friday night at the Turning Stone Sportsplex.
 
Five different Raiders recorded two wins in Friday night's match.
 
Colgate opened up with a solid showing in doubles, sweeping all three matches with 6-4 wins.
 
The Raiders were just as dominant in singles play as they picked up three wins in straight sets and one in three sets before ending the match with the win. Bobby Alter (Hinsdale, Illinois) won his match at No. 4 singles in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2, while Jake Hirschberg (Westport, Connecticut) was nearly as dominant at No. 1 singles with a 6-3, 6-3 win.
