DURHAM, N.H. – Breanne Wilson-Bennett (Markham, Ontario) scored the game-winning goal with 2:35 remaining in regulation Saturday night as No. 4/4 Colgate completed the weekend sweep of the New Hampshire Wildcats with a 2-1 win at the Whittemore Center.
The Raiders extended their current winning streak to four games as they completed their fifth weekend sweep of the season.
Megan Sullivan (Toronto, Ontario) scored the 40
th goal of her Colgate career in the winning effort, and also recorded an assist for the two-point game. Wilson-Bennett assisted Sullivan's goal to give her a two-point night as well.
Goaltender
Julia Vandyk (Cambridge, Ontario) continued to shine between the pipes as she made 22 saves to extended her unbeaten streak to six games to open up the season.
Colgate and New Hampshire nearly played a scoreless first period before the Wildcats managed to break the scoreless tie with 24 seconds left to make it 1-0 on Carlee Turner's fifth goal of the season.
The Wildcats held on to that lead until Sullivan was able to get the puck past New Hampshire goaltender Ava Boutilier for the Raiders first goal of the game.
Lauren Wildfang (Waterdown, Ontario) picked up the primary assist on Sullivan's goal that made it through traffic and past Boutilier.
Neither team broke the deadlock until Wilson-Bennett managed to get a piece of a Sullivan shot to redirect into the net for the game-winning goal.
Bailey Larson (Sycamore, Illinois) also picked up an assist on the game-winner.

The Raiders improve to 11-1-0 with their fourth consecutive win while the Wildcats lose for the second straight game to fall to 6-3-3.
