PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Goalkeeper
Maria Krull recorded her third straight game with at least 10 saves Sunday afternoon as the Colgate field hockey team fell to the Brown Bears, 4-0, at Goldberger Family Field.
Krull has now made at least 10 saves in five games this season for the Raiders, the most among Patriot League goaltenders. She has 98 saves through the first nine games of the season, the most in NCAA field hockey.
Four different players scored goals for the Bears while Corinne Condie led Brown with two assists in the game. Condie's assists were her first two of the season.
Brown led Colgate 3-0 at halftime, including two goals within 2:06 of each other to take a 2-0 lead midway through the first half. Ellie Seid scored her third goal of the season 16:39 into the first half off a pass from Corinne Condie before Lucy Green added an unassisted goal 18:45 into the half. The Bears added a third goal with just 1:46 left in the half on Gina Openshaw's second goal of the year.
Midway through the second half, Brown added its final goal of the contest from Ali Dunning on Condie's second helper of the game.
