HAMILTON – Colgate women's lacrosse rising senior
Jillian Piazza has been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Zag Sports Division I Academic Honor Roll.
In order to be eligible for the honor roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and earn a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
"I am very proud of Jill for being recognized as an IWLCA Academic Honor Roll award winner," Colgate women's lacrosse head coach
Heather Young said. "She is one of the hardest workers on and off the field, and this truly recognizes the dedication she has as a student-athlete."
In addition, the Colgate women's lacrosse team was named an Academic Honor Squad for the 2015-16 season, earning a team GPA of 3.0 or greater. The Raiders finished the season 8-9 overall and 6-3 in Patriot League play on their way to a fifth place finish to qualify for their third straight conference tournament.
Piazza, a psychology major, was also named to the Patriot League Women's Lacrosse Academic Honor Roll in each of the last two seasons and was named to the Raider Academic Honor Roll in 2015-16.
