SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Colgate's 2016 season came to a close here Saturday in a loss to fifth-ranked Syracuse.
The Orange won their fifth in a row and prepped for their upcoming NCAA tournament appearance with an 18-3 victory over the Raiders. Colgate ends its season 4-10.
Jack Stebbins scored for Colgate in the first half, and then rookie midfielder
Matt Donovan and senior captain
Cam Williams tallied after the break. It was Donovan's first career goal, while Williams capped his Colgate career with goal No. 47.
The Stebbins goal was his 11th of the season, lifting the junior to fifth among team leaders.
All three Colgate goals were unassisted.
