CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Colgate's
McKenzie Wallace earned Academic All-Patriot League accolades Monday for women's track and field.
Wallace, a middle distance runner for the Raiders, holds a 3.95 cumulative GPA in neuroscience. Most recently, the sophomore achieved a 4.07 GPA during the 2015 fall semester. She is a Raider Academic Honor Roll and Dean's list member, notching those honors in all three of her semesters so far.

On the track, Wallace placed sixth at the Patriot League Championships in the 400-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of one minute and 3.78 seconds. She also participated in the 4x400 and 4x800 meter relays, helping Colgate finish eighth with times of 3:57.47 and 9:28.87, respectively.

The Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Academic All-Patriot League Teams honor student-athletes who excel in their sport and the classroom. The awards are voted on by Patriot League outdoor track and field sports information directors, who could not select their own student-athletes.

To be eligible for the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.
