WORCESTER, Mass. – Kyle Griswold pitched another ace in the circle for Colgate Softball to help the Raiders take the weekend series with Holy Cross.
Griswold allowed just five hits in seven complete innings, as Colgate went on to defeat the Crusaders 2-0. This marked the second time this season the Raiders blanked their opponent.
Katie Bushee led the way, going 2-for-3 and accounting for both of Colgate's runs.
Holly Geranen recorded the Raiders' two RBI on the day, including converting on a suicide squeeze in the top of the seventh inning.
Tara Grennan and
Alex Gadiano also posted hits on the day.
Colgate next faces rival Syracuse on Wednesday for an out-of-conference doubleheader. The twin bill is set to start at 3 p.m. at Skytop Softball Stadium. Live stats and video will be available at the start.
