HAMILTON – Uyisoa Omorogbe lifted Colgate over Bucknell with his overtime goal in the 94th minute.
Colgate was deadlocked at three at the end of regulation, but just under five minutes into the overtime period,
Aram Ouligian crossed the ball to Omorogbe who struck the ball past goalie Emmett Witmer to give the Raiders the win.
The Raiders held the early 3-0 advantage over the Bison. With just under four minutes played in the game,
Jared Stroud recorded a header shot that bounced out of the goalie's arms.
Zach Pagani was there to collect the rebound, scoring the goal easily past Bucknell's goalie. This goal was
Zach Pagani's third goal in the past two games for the Raiders.
Colgate's next goal came in the 19th minute, when
Oliver Harris shot into an empty net.
Colin O'Neill passed the ball across the box, fooling the goalie into diving to save the shot, and found
Oliver Harris right in front of the net for the goal.
Colgate took the 3-0 lead over the Bison with just under eight minutes to go in the first half. Troy Moo-Penn found
Steven DeLeo who booted the ball into the top right of the net, past Bucknell's goalie.
The Raiders' defense was stifling in the first half, allowing only eight shots, two of which were corralled by goalie
Ricky Brown.
The second period seemed to go in the complete opposite direction for the Raiders, who could not find any good looks at the net, while Bucknell closed the gap.
Bucknell forward Sebastiaan Blickman found the back of the net three times for the Bison in the second period, evening the score at 3-3. He recorded his first goal less than three minutes into the frame after striking the ball to the right side of the goal past Brown.
Colgate appeared to have gained a little of the momentum back, recording five shots within the next ten minutes, but Blickman had other things in mind. Adam Bradshaw passed the ball to Blickman, who found the back of the net after heading it in on the left side in the 61st minute.
The teams were scoreless for the next 20 minutes of the frame, but Blickman once again broke through, recording his final goal of the game in the 82nd minute. He was five yards out from the goal and slipped the ball right past Brown on the right side of the net to even the game at 3-3.
Colgate had two corner kicks in the final minute of regulation, but the team could not find the net either time.
After a yellow card was given in the 93rd minute of the game, Colgate had the opportunity for a corner kick. Stroud took the kick and found Ouligian who quickly passed to Omorogbe for the game-winner.
The Raiders are back in action on Tuesday when they face Cornell at Beyer-Small Field at 7:00 p.m. for a non-league match-up.
