Krull Paces Raiders Versus Terriers

Sophomore Keeper Maria Krull Recorded 11 Saves Versus Boston University Saturday

HAMILTON – Sophomore keeper Maria Krull recorded 11 saves, but Boston University used two-goal performances from Taylor Blood and Hester van der Laan to post a 9-0 victory over Colgate in Patriot League field hockey action Saturday at Tyler's Field.

- Boston University used a pair of tallies from Blood and the first of two goals by van der Laan to take a 4-0 lead into halftime.
- Blood opened the scoring at the 8:30 mark and van der Laan doubled the Terriers margin to 2-0 with a penalty stroke with 15:14 gone in the opening frame.
- Blood struck again just before halftime for expand the Boston University cushion to 4-0 while van der Laan opened the second half scoring at the 44:21 mark with her second penalty stroke of the contest to make it 5-0.
