Colgate Breezes Past Keuka in Exhibition

Raiders Continue to Roll; Take Down Wolfpack 90-40

HAMILTON – Colgate placed all 12 players in the scoring column Saturday afternoon as the Raiders defeated Keuka 90-40 in an exhibition game.

Despite Colgate playing 10 games already and Keuka eight, the team's decided to use this open weekend to meet up in a non-conference exhibition game.

The Raiders controlled much of the match and had three in double-figures. Rookie Malcolm Regisford led the way with a game-high 15 points, followed by David Favorite and Austin Tillotson with 12 and 10, respectively.

Tom Rivard and Sam Lindgren pulled down five rebounds each, while Sean O'Brien and Francisco Amiel handed out four assists apiece. Amiel also added a game-high six steals.

Colgate finished shooting 62 percent on the day and drained 13-of-22 from long range. The Raiders also converted on 15 of their 21 attempts from the charity stripe. The Wolfpack on the other hand shot 21.1 percent throughout the contest and hit just 1-of-13 from downtown. The visitors did go 11-for-18 from the line.

The Raiders scored 34 points from inside the paint to Keuka's 18. Colgate also converted 37 points off of Wolfpack turnovers compared to 10 for the visitors.

Matt Langel's squad started the game on an 8-0 run before the Wolfpack were able to notch their first two points off of free throws from Casey Williams.

Keuka cut the edge down to 8-6 jsut 14:01 into the contest but that would be as close as they would come. The Raiders answered with 9-2 run to push their lead back to 17-8 with less than 12 remaining in the half.

Colgate finished the last four minutes of the first period and opening 2½ minutes of the second half on a 23-4 run to make it a 55-18 ballgame with 17:47 remaining in the contest.

The Raiders maintained that wide margin throughout the conclusion, even extending its lead to the largest of the contest at 90-39 with 37 seconds remaining following a layup from Ryan Diew.

Colgate closes out its out-of-conference slate Wednesday at Georgia Tech. That match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip in McCamish Pavilion. The Yellow Jackets play host to Southeastern Louisiana on Monday before welcoming the Raiders two days later. The contest will be broadcast on ESPN3 and will have live stats available.
