Straight From The Source•
Colgate head coach Matt Langel: (On his team being 3-0 in the Patriot League) "It sure beats the alternative (he says with a laugh). We are in uncharted waters with this group but it's fun. It's fun every day in practice and that's where it started. This group finally had enough of the bad taste in their mouths from losing the close games and are responding by pouring everything they possibly have into it every single day."
(On letting up a late 3-pointer at the half to cut the lead down to three at the break but responding with a run to open the second half) "The team was a little disappointed and angry at the way they finished the half. Our guys started the second 20 minutes with a little chip on their shoulder and really wanted to get that separation."
(On Holy Cross not being an easy team to defeat) "They are long, athletic and have good size on the wing. They have really fast small guards who can pressure you and kind of take you out of what you're doing. They've had some really nice wins on the year. They start the season off by beating Harvard, who was a Top-25 team and that shows their potential. Obviously, they are in a little bit of a stretch where they haven't won a couple games but we just have to continue to focus on ourselves and play the best that we can."
