HAMILTON – Senior Colgate women's soccer player
Caroline Brawner was named the College Sports Madness Patriot League Player of the Week.
College Sports Madness identifies the players who have made the greatest impact to their team from each conference and on a national basis each week.
Brawner tallied four points over the weekend after netting her first goal and first and second assist of the season. The Edmonds, Washington, native helped the Raiders secure two victories over Vermont and UMass. Lowell in the Colgate Nike Classic.
The international relations major notched the game-winner on Friday night against the Catamounts when she followed up an initial shot from teammate
Jenna Raepple. In that game she also registered an assist on the Raiders' insurance goal. Then on Sunday she played a beautiful ball back across the face of the 18-yard box to a waiting
Catherine Williams, who finished it for the game-winner.
Brawner is currently tied for leading the team with four season points. She and the rest of the Raider team welcome nearby ACC foe Syracuse on Thursday at 7 p.m. on Beyer-Small '76 Field.
