Full list of the Canadian National Women's Team Fall Festival Roster

CALGARY, Alberta – Colgate women's ice hockey player Lauren Wildfang was selected to the Canadian National Women's Team Fall Festival Roster.

"I know Lauren is honored to be among the 58 players invited to Calgary for the National Women's Team Fall Festival," Fargo said. "She is in an elite group of invitees and is looking forward to pushing for a spot with the national team.

The festival takes place Sept. 22-28 at WinSport's Markin MacPhail Centre at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary.

The camp serves as an important evaluation opportunity for Canada's National Women's Team coaching staff, including head coach Doug Derraugh and assistant coaches Tim Bothwell and Dwayne Gylywoychuk. Team Canada scouts led by Melody Davidson, Hockey Canada's general manager of national women's team programs, also will be on hand.

Following Canada's National Women's Team Fall Festival, players will be monitored at international events such as the 2014 4 Nations Cup in Kamloops, B.C., as well as with their club teams during the 2014-15 season. These evaluations will assist coaches and scouts in selecting the team that will represent Canada at the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey Women's World Championship in Malmö, Sweden, next April.

Wildfang joins 15 other ECAC Hockey members that were selected to the squad. With multiple members of the league being chosen, this event showcases how strong conference play will be this upcoming season.

Wildfang and the Raiders kick off their season with an exhibition game Saturday when they host the Cambridge Rivulettes at 7 p.m. in Starr Rink.
