HAMILTON - Colgate played No. 11 Boston College to a 3-3 tie at the halftime break, but the Eagles scored three times in the second half to escape with a 6-3 victory over the Raiders in collegiate field hockey action Sunday at Tyler's Field.
Boston College (7-1) won their sixth straight contest, but it wasn't easy as Colgate (2-6) went blow-for-blow with the Atlantic Coast Conference foe during a high-paced first half that saw the two teams combine for six goals on just 11 shots.

How It Happened- Boston College jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead with goals from Emma Plasteras and Eryn McCoy in the opening 7:40 of the contest before Colgate responded less than five minutes later with strikes from Brown and Brash just 85 seconds apart to tie the game at 2-2.

Whitney Jones found the back of the net just before halftime to tie the game at 3-all.
- In the second half, Boston College regained their lead with a goal from Leah Frome at the 42:02 mark and added a pair of insurance markers from Plasteras and Brooke Matherson over a 21-second stretch later in the half to secure the victory.
