Moo Penn’s 1st Career Goal Lifts Raiders

Raiders Slide Past Hartwick 1-0 for Second Straight Win

HAMILTON – Rookie Troy Moo Penn netted his first intercollegiate goal to help lift the Colgate men's soccer team past Hartwick here Tuesday night.

The first-year converted on a brilliant cross from sophomore Ethan Kutler in the 68th minute.

With Colgate handling most of the possession throughout the game, the Raiders were finally able to break through after Kutler beat a Hawks defender on the right side of the field. He took one touch and sent a perfectly placed cross into the 18-yard box from the endline. Moo Penn eyed the ball all the way in as he volleyed it into the back of the net from 8-yards out.

Colgate fired off some more solid chances in the remaining minutes but some stellar stops from Hartwick's Mateo Munarriz kept it a one-goal game.

Ricky Brown secured his second season shutout notching one save in the contest.
