HAMILTON – Led by a match-high 18 kills from sophomore
Kathleen Harris, Colgate cruised to a 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 26-24) victory over Bucknell in Patriot League volleyball action Saturday at Cotterell Court.

Harris highlighted a potent Raiders attack that combined for 53 kills and a .221 hitting percentage (53-22-140). Harris also tallied 15 digs as she posted her team-leading sixth double-double of the season. Junior
Jackie Macy also recorded a double-double as she finished with 24 assists and 17 digs.

Katie Fauntleroy joined Harris in double figures with 11 spikes. Freshmen
Corrina Moncada and Madison and McAndrews both posted double digit digs, finishing with 14 and 13 bumps, respectively.

Freshman Haily Stout tallied five kills for Bucknell, who was limited to just 19 kills and a .053 attack percentage. Junior Meghan Wentzel dished out 15 assists. Sophomore Kristen Parks notched a team-best 19 digs and freshman Hana Sawanobori added 10.

How It Happened
- Colgate took the first set, 25-19, using a 9-3 spurt to stretch a 12-11 lead into a 21-14 margin on its way to the six-point victory.
- Leading 6-5 early in the second set, Colgate rattled off five unanswered points to take an 11-5 lead. The Bison would pull within three, 12-9, moments later, but the Raiders kept Bucknell from getting any closer as it cruised to a 25-18 victory and a 2-0 lead.
- Colgate jumped out to a 5-1 lead to start the third set, but Bucknell battled back with an 11-4 stretch to go in front, 12-10. The Bison would hold a 21-18 advantage late in the frame when a kill by senior
Kenzie Hume ignited a 6-1 run that gave the Raiders a 24-22 advantage and set up match point. Â Back-to-back points by Bucknell would knot the score at 24-all, but consecutive kills by junior Katie Reilly gave Colgate a 26-24 victory and the match.
