Raiders Drop Heartbreaker to Connecticut

Kueber Nets Second Goal of Season; Rando Posts 23 Stops

HAMILTON – Colgate women's hockey saw Connecticut tally the game-winner with five seconds left in the game to steal a 2-1 victory from the Raiders Saturday afternoon.

The Huskies registered the game's first goal 13 minutes into the contest but the Raiders pulled even five minutes into the final frame.

Senior captain Melissa Kueber recorded the tying goal after fellow classmate Katie Case sent a stellar pass from the blue line. Kueber, who was wrapping around the goal, redirected the puck past the Huskies goaltender, Elaine Chuli, to knot the score at 1-all.

Unfortunately, a late tally from UConn's Emily Snodgrass at the 19:55 mark in the last period handed the Huskies the thrilling win.

Colgate has a quick turnaround as they welcome Providence on Sunday at 2 p.m. in Starr Rink. Live stats and video will be available at the start.
