Four Raiders Score in 6-3 Victory

Colgate Moves to .500 on Season After Taking Down Robert Morris

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Two early goals put Colgate women's hockey up on Robert Morris and the Raiders never looked back, defeating the Colonials, 6-3 on Friday afternoon.

Four different Raider players recorded markers in the game with Miriam Drubel and Megan Sullivan both netting two apiece. Melissa Kueber and Shelby Perry also heard their name called as they posted Colgate's other two goals in the contest.

Drubel gave the Raiders the lead early scoring 45 seconds into the contest. Then 51 seconds into the second period it was 2-0 Colgate after Kueber found the back of the net. The Colonials scored three goals throughout the next two periods but the deficit proved to be too much as the Raiders recorded four more from Sullivan (2), Drubel and Perry.

Sullivan's first marker 3:51 into the second period and Perry's goal with 14 seconds left in the game gave the two rookies their first collegiate goals in a Raider uniform.

Junior Ashlynne Rando made a season-high 30 saves in the contest, including double-digit stops in the first and third period.

Colgate improves to 1-1-0 on the season, while RMU drops to 1-4-0.

These two teams are back on the ice Saturday for a rematch at 3 p.m. in 84 Lumber Arena. Live stats and video are available at gametime.
