Patriot League Release
HAMILTON -- Colgate's football championship squad is one of five in the running for Best Patriot League Men's Team of 2012-13, and Raider fans can vote their team to the top.
Over a span of four weeks in June, the Patriot League is interacting with fans via YouTube and Twitter to select the best teams and players of the year. Last week, fans voted for the Best Women's Team in 2012-13 and the winner will be announced at the end of June with all the other winners.
The Patriot League also will ask fans to help select the Top Women's Player of the Year and Top Men's Player of the Year in the next two weeks. The League has selected five candidates in each category and it will be up to the fans to narrow it done to one.
To vote for the Best Men's Team of the Year, log on to Twitter and Tweet your vote by using the corresponding hashtags in your Tweet. All you have to do is copy and paste the bold hashtag/text and paste it into your Tweet. Voting ends at 5 p.m. Thursday. Only one vote per Twitter handle will be counted.

#PardsMSOC The Lafayette Leopards men's soccer team went 9-8-4 overall and 3-1-3 in the League to secure the No. 2 seed in the tournament where the Leopards posted a pair of shutouts to win their seventh Patriot League title.
#RaidersFB The Colgate Raiders football team put up big points all season behind a dynamic quarterback in
Gavin McCarney who scored 38 touchdowns, leading the Raiders to an 8-4 overall record and a 5-0 League record. Colgate won its seventh Patriot League title.
#BisonMBB The Bucknell Bison men's basketball team went 28-6 overall and 12-2 in League play to earn the regular season championship. The Bison went on to win their fourth Patriot League title behind the Player of the Year, Mike Muscala.
#LehighMLAX The Lehigh Mountain Hawks went undefeated in League play to host the tournament for the first time and after a dominant performance, the Mountain Hawk won their second straight Patriot League Championship.
#ArmyBase The Army Black Knights went 29-23 overall and 11-9 in League play, and in the tournament, the Black Knights won four straight games to win their second consecutive Patriot League Championship.
