BRONX, N.Y. – Five members of the men's cross country team traveled to Van Cortlandt Park to compete in the 105th IC4A Championships.
The squad was led by
Scott Walker who finished first for Colgate, making him the sixth different runner to earn the top spot in a race for the Raiders. Sophomores Walker and Noda both posted personal best times for the Van Cortlandt park course. Walker tallied 90th place with a time of 27 minutes and 35.6 seconds while Noda crossed the finish line next in the 91st slot with a time of 27:38.9.
Cody Hawkins and Harry Englehart clocked in with times of 27:47.9 and 28:19.5, respectively, while
Troy Kelly closed out the Colgate runners with a time of 28:39.4.
The Raiders finished 17th overall with 490 points. They placed ahead of Seton Hall, Loyola, and Hofstra.
Colgate head coach Art McKinnon would like to thank the parents and alumni who supported the team throughout the course of the season. The 2013 men's cross country season has come to an end but many of the student-athletes will be competing in indoor track which starts Dec. 7 at the Greg Page Relays in Ithaca, N.Y.
