"I am really happy to come out of Navy with a win," head coach

After dropping the first set to the Mids, the Raiders really had to claw back into the match as they took the second set by a 25-22 score. The set was tied at 22-22 and then Hume and
Kathleen Harris added back-to-back kills and also got help by a Navy error to give the Raiders the win.
The third set was another tough one with Navy holding onto a lead until the teams were tied at 17-17. Colgate was able to earn its largest advantage of the set at 24-21 with an
Allie Dyer ace and a kill from
Lindsay Young. The Mids fought back and tied the set at 24-24, but the Raiders got a kill from Seely and then a Navy attack error gave the Raiders a 26-24 win.
Colgate had to come back from an early deficit again in the fourth set. The Raiders were down 12-10, but a quick 6-1 run gave Colgate a 16-13 lead. Seely had a pair of kills during the run and Harris had one. The Mids came all the way back and tied it at 16-16, but the Raiders scored nine of the final 13 points to earn the 25-19 win.
"We were able to come out on top, which says a lot about our senior leadership and our team mentality," Baker said. "We will recover and get ready for next weekend."
Colgate is back in action on Friday night at Cotterell Court as the Raiders take on American, which is a rematch of last year's Patriot League Championship.
