Men's Lacrosse at No. 18 Bucknell on CBS Sports Network

Friday night's game will be on CBS Sports Network
MEN'S LACROSSE GAME CENTRAL

HAMILTON, N.Y. (4/19/12)
– The No. 11/13 Colgate men's lacrosse team will conclude its Patriot League regular season schedule, with a chance to host the League tournament on the line, when it visits No. 18/18 Bucknell on Friday, April 20. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium and will be televised live nationally on CBS Sports Network.

The Raiders are coming off a decisive 18-7 win over Lafayette on Saturday, April 14. The win put Colgate in a tie for first place in the Patriot League with Lehigh, but the Raiders own the tiebreaker after beating the Mountain Hawks 11-10 back on April 7.

Junior Peter Baum led the Raiders with seven points on five goals and two assists to extend his scoring streak to 39-straight games, which is tied for the fifth longest in the nation. Senior Jeff Ledwick scored two goals and added three assists for five points, while Matt Baker, Connor Brown and John Donnally each scored two goals apiece. Brendon McCann and Ryan Walsh each recorded three points with one goal and two assists, while junior face-off specialist Robert Grabher was dominant in the X for a second-straight week, winning 15-of-19 face-offs, while collecting a game-high 10 groundballs. Grabher leads the Patriot League with 93 groundballs on the season.

PATRIOT LEAGUE PLAY
The field for the 2012 Patriot League Tournament is exactly the same as last year, although the seeding will be different. Bucknell was last year's No. 1 seed and hosted, but the Bison can only be the Nos. 2, 3 or 4 seeds this time around. Army can only be the third or fourth seed. Only Colgate or Lehigh can host the tournament.

More dominoes will fall Friday when Colgate visits Bucknell on CBS Sports Network. Lehigh will watch anxiously from Bethlehem, because Colgate will host the tournament with a win over the Bison. In the event of a Bucknell victory, then Lehigh will claim the No. 1 seed regardless of its result against Lafayette Saturday afternoon. In any and all potential three- or four-way ties, Lehigh would emerge as the No. 1 seed.

PL ON CBS SPORTS NETWORK
CBS Sports Network, the official broadcast partner of the Patriot League, has had many men's lacrosse games on the docket in 2012 already, and has several critical contests remaining. Bucknell hosts Colgate Friday at 7 p.m. with Dave Ryan handling the play-by-play and Steve Panarelli providing the analysis. The following weekend, CBS Sports Network will televise all three games of the Patriot League Tournament, beginning with the two semifinal tilts Friday, April 27 at 5 and 8 p.m., along with the championship game on Sunday, April 29 at 3 p.m. Ryan and Evan Washburn will handle the calls at the tournament.

BUCKNELL SERIES NOTES
This will be the 31st meeting between Colgate and Bucknell, with the Bison leading the all-time series 20-10. Bucknell won both meetings last including a 10-3 win in the Patriot League Championship game.  The Bison have won the last five meetings dating back to 2009. Colgate's last win in the series came during the 2008 Patriot League Championship game 13-9 in West Point.

SCOUTING BUCKNELL (9-5, 3-2 PL)
The defending Patriot League Champion Bucknell Bison enter Friday's game ranked No. 18 in both national polls with a 9-5 overall record and 3-2 mark in League play after falling to then-No. 11 Lehigh 9-8 on Saturday at Ulrich Sports Center.
