BOSTON, Mass. (3/4/12)— The Colgate University men's track and field team set a new school record in the DMR on Sunday at the IC4A Championships at the Boston University Track and Field Pavilion.

The team of James Paris, Mitchell Boucher, Timothy Metivier and Chris Johnson set the new record after finishing fifth overall in the final with a time of 9:54.57. The Raiders reached the finals after finishing sixth with a time of 9:58.20 on Saturday. The previous record of 10:00.20 was set in 2009 at the same meet.

By placing in the top eight, Paris, Boucher, Metivier and Johnson all earned IC4A All-East honors. Metivier now owns three All-East certificates, while Paris, Boucher and Johnson each own one.

The Raiders will kick off their outdoor season on Saturday, March 24 at Navy.
