The Colgate University men's basketball team will hold a pink game on Wednesday, Feb. 15, to help raise money for breast cancer awareness and support of the women's team “Play 4kay” initiative. The Raiders will wear pink shoes when they host Army at 7:00 p.m. at Cotterell Court. The game will also be streamed live on Patriot League All-Access.

THE SERIES WITH ARMY
This will be the 110th meeting between Colgate and Army with the Raiders holding a slim lead in the all-time series 55-54. Army won the first matchup this season 91-75 in West Point and is looking to sweep the Raiders for the first time since the 2004-05 season. Colgate won the second game against the Black Knights last season 77-71.
LAST TIME OUT

Pat Moore tied his career-high with 23 points by making seven three-pointers, but it wasn't enough as Lehigh closed the game with a 32-11 run to top the Colgate men's basketball team 89-69 Saturday night at Stabler Arena.
Colgate (7-18, 1-9) held a 58-57 lead with 13:17 remaining in regulation, before the Mountain Hawks exploded with 27-3 run over the next 10 minutes to build their largest lead of the game 84-61 to secure their seventh win in Patriot League play.
Moore finished the game 8-of-10 from the field, including 7-of-8 from downtown to record a season-high 23 points, to go along with five rebounds to lead the Raiders, while junior center
John Brandenburg also scored in double figures with 10 points. Senior's
Nick Pascale and
Mike Venezia scored six points apiece, while Pascale recorded his 100th career blocked shot to become just the fifth Raider in school history to score 500 or more points, grab 500 or more rebounds and block 100 or more shots. Venezia scored all of his points from downtown to pass Jon Simon '07 for fourth all-time in school history with 187 made three pointers.
SCOUTING ARMY (11-14, 4-6 PL)
Army overcame a four-point deficit in the first overtime and outscored Navy 13-7 in the second extra session to claim a 69-63 win in the annual "Star Game" in front of a Christl Arena record crowd of 5,189 Saturday afternoon. The win gave the Black Knights their first season sweep of the Mids since 1992.
Sophomore Josh Herbeck led Army with a game-high 19 points, including the go-ahead three-pointer in the second overtime. He also tied his career high with eight rebounds. Herbeck made three of Army's six three-pointers move into 10th place on the Black Knights' career list with 101. Junior Ella Ellis added 17 points, his 27th straight game in double figures, while rookie Maxwell Lenox scored a career-high 13 points, dished out four assists and made a career-high five steals.
VENEZIA HONING IN ON 1,000 POINTS

Mike Venezia is just 10 points (990) away from becoming the 29th Raider to join the 1,000-point club. Venezia has scored in double-figures in nine of the last 14 games and is averaging 10.2 points per game during that time.
ROLLS SHARING THE ROCK

Mitch Rolls recently entered the top-10 all-time at Colgate with 267 assists. Rolls has distributed 61 helpers this season and is averaging 2.4 per game, which ranks 12th in the Patriot League. Rolls currently ranks sixth all-time, just five helpers behind Josh Farrell '87 (272) for fifth. Hassan Brown '94 holds the school record with 484 assists.
1,000 POINTS AND COUNTING
Last season, senior forward
Yaw Gyawu became the 28th player in school history to join the 1,000-point club. Gyawu currently has 1,189 points which ranks 19th, only three points from passing Rick Caputo '69 (1,191) for 18th overall.
VENEZIA KEEPS RAINING THREES

Mike Venezia has made a total of 187 three-pointers in his career, which is fourth all-time at Colgate. Former teammate Kyle Roemer '10 holds the school record with 267.
LANGEL INDUCTED INTO SOUTH JERSEY HALL OF FAME

Matt Langel was recently inducted into the Al Carino Basketball Club of South Jersey's Hall of Fame on Sunday, Feb. 12. The club's 30th annual induction ceremonies were held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill, N.J.
Langel, the 20th head coach at Colgate, was an outstanding player at Moorestown High School, where he was a three-year starter for the Quakers and one of the top players in South Jersey during his playing days. The 1996 graduate was named to the Courier-Post All-South Jersey team and finished his career with 1,497 points, the second highest total in Moorestown history.
