The Colgate men's lacrosse team will travel to Bucknell on Saturday (April 24). The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium. The winner of the game will claim the final Patriot League Tournament berth.
BUCKNELL SERIES NOTES
The Raiders and Bison are facing-off for the 28th time with Bucknell leading the all-time series 17-10. The Bison won last season 19-11, in Hamilton, N.Y.
SCOUTING THE RAIDERS (3-8, 2-3)
The Raiders improved to 3-8 overall, 2-3 in Patriot League play following a 14-9 win over then No. 16/20 Lafayette. The win was Colgate's second straight in league play this season, and placed the Raiders in a tie with Bucknell for the final playoff spot.
Ben McCabe and
Peter Baum lead Colgate up front. McCabe has 28 points off 21 goals and seven assists, while Baum, the Patriot League Rookie of the Week, has a team-high 25 goals and one assist.
Patrick Campbell leads the team with 11 assists, while
Michael Crown headlines the defense with five points, 46 groundballs and 14 forced turnovers.
Jared Madison and
Tim Harrington have split time between the pipes with Madison, the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week, leading the way with a 8.71 GAA and .572 save percentage, while Harrington has a 10.54 GAA.
SCOUTING BUCKNELL (7-5, 2-3)
The Bison improved to 7-5 overall, 2-3 in Patriot League play, following a 14-5, win over Lehigh. Austin Winter, leads Bucknell with 42 points off 19 goals and 23 assists. Ryan Klipstein leads the team with 30 goals and second with 37 points, while Charlie Streep has 33 points. Kyle Feeney leads the Bison between the pipes with a 7.38 GAA and .574 save percentage.

Colgate University head coach
Jim Nagle is in his ninth season at the helm of the Colgate lacrosse program. He sports a 75-57 record and is 140-95 in his 14 seasons as a head coach. His 74 victories and .562 win percentage are the second most by a Colgate men's lacrosse coach. Harvey Potter has the most wins with 80 victories, while Michael Toop (1988-91) has the best win percentage at .708 (34-14). Nagle has guided Colgate to its first Patriot League Tournament Championship, its highest national ranking, and a 14-4 record in Patriot League play over the past three seasons. The Raiders posted three straight 11-win seasons for the first time in history under Nagle's watch.
BAUM, MADISON EARN PL WEEKLY HONORS
A pair of Colgate men's lacrosse players were selected as Patriot League Weekly Award Honorees by the league office on Monday, April 19. Freshman
Peter Baum (Portland, Ore.) was named Rookie of the Week, while sophomore
Jared Madison (Lawrenceville, N.J.) was named Goalkeeper of the Week.
This is the third time Baum has been honored with the league award this season, the first time for Madison.
BAUM NAMED PL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK, AGAIN ...
Peter Baum was named the Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 28. This is the second straight week Baum has received this award.
Baum garnered the honor after scoring a career-high four goals against Navy last week. Baum now has 17 goals on the season, fourth in the Patriot League, and the most posted by a freshman since
Brandon Corp '09 posted 19 in 2006.
BAUM NAMED PL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Peter Baum was named the Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 21.
Baum garnered the honor after scoring five goals in two games. Baum scored three times against No. 14/11 Harvard and then added two more goals against Fairfield.
MCCLELLAND NAMED TO TEAM CANADA FINAL ROSTER

Ryan McClelland (Brampton, Ont.) was selected as one of the final 24 players to the Team Canada roster.
McClelland is one of two college players named to the final roster that will represent Canada at the World Championships in Manchester, England in July.
RAIDERS FACE MARYLAND AT LACROSSE DAY OF CHAMPIONS
The Colgate University men's Lacrosse team will join the Indians Rock Community Foundation for its third annual Lacrosse Day of Champions at Manhasset High School. The Day of Champions will feature two events spread out over four separate days.
The Raiders will headline the second event on May 8th as they take on Maryland at Manhasset High School. Defending New York state high-school champion Manhasset versus conference rival Cold Spring Harbor will follow the Colgate-Maryland game.
The Lacrosse Day of Champions events start on Friday, March 5 with youth tournaments for grades 4-9. Some slots are still available, and teams can register at www.irockfundhome.org. Each team will be guaranteed at least three games. Each roster player will receive complimentary tickets to both the March 6 Haverford-St. Lawrence game and the May 8 Maryland-Colgate game. Visit the web site for more details about the tournament and registration.
Tickets for the May 8th Colgate-Maryland game will be priced at $10 for adults and $5 for those 18 years and younger. Tickets will go on sale April 1st at the www.irockfundhome.org web site, and the game is expected to be a sell-out.
