Game 1     Game 2

KISSIMMEE, FL (3/20/2010)  – Michelle Hollebeke (North Reading, Mass.)
scattered six hits over seven innings to pace Colgate to a 4-0 victory over Hartford in its first game Saturday at the Rebel Games outside of Orlando.  The Raiders fell to Marist 9-6 in their final game of the 12-game road trip.

Colgate, now 14-4 overall, got all it would need in the top of the first against the Hawks as Stephanie Hartquist (Homer, N.Y.) plated Alana Dyson (Grovetown, Ga.) with a run-scoring single.

The Raiders tacked on three runs in the fifth – all coming after two outs.  Jennifer Ortega (Aberdeen, N.J.) ripped a double and then promptly stole third. After Hartquist drew a base on balls and followed with a steal of second, Nicole Siedhof (Canton, Pa.) walked to load the bases.  Natalie Siedhof (Canton, Pa.) followed by roping a two-run single to score Ortega and Hartquist.  The final run can across as Brittany Hanrahan (Frankfort, Ill.) drilled a double to bring home Natalie Siedhof from second.  Six different batters accounted for Colgate's six hits in the win.

Hollebeke improved to 8-1 overall in the victory.  The sophomore allowed two walks and struck out five batters.  With the win, Colgate avenged an earlier 7-3 loss to Hartford in eight innings.
In the second outing, the Red Foxes broke open a tied game with a seven-run second inning.
Colgate, which finished with a successful 9-3 trip to the Sunshine State, opened with one in the first inning.  Melissa Babb-Renta (Fairview, Ill.) lead-off with a single and then stole second and third.  The senior scored on a single by Dyson.

With the win over Hartford, head coach Vickie Sax posted her 300th career victory.

Down 8-1, the Raiders chipped away with a run in the second, one in the fourth and two more in the fifth.  Natalie Siedhof scored in the second inning on a bases loaded walk.  Babb-Renta provided the run in the fourth with a RBI single that scored Hanrahan.  In the fifth with two outs and runners on first and second, Hanrahan walked to load the bases.  Emmie Dolfi (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) drove in Hartquist with a hit by pitch.  Babb-Renta knocked in the Raiders' final run with a single in the bottom of the seventh.

Courtney O'Connell (Palm Harbor, Fla.) fell to 1-2 on the year. The freshman gave up five earned runs in 1.1 innings of work.

Colgate returns to action, Friday as it travels to Baltimore to play Morgan State.  The doubleheader has been moved to a 2 p.m. start.
