KISSIMMEE, FL  (3/19/2010) – Natalie Siedhof (Canton, Pa.)
hit three homers and drove in six runs in two games as Colgate picked up two more victories at the 2010 Rebel Games, Friday.    The Raiders downed St. Peters 10-4 in the opener and then tallied a 10-1 decision over Fairleigh Dickinson in a five-inning shortened game.

In the opener, Colgate, which improved to 13-3 overall, scored seven runs in the first four innings.  The Raiders opened scoring in the first as Stephanie Hartquist (Homer, N.Y.) belted a double to score Jennifer Ortega (Aberdeen, N.J.) from second.  After retiring the Peacocks in the bottom of the first, Natalie Siedhof unloaded for her second homer of the year to stake Colgate to a 2-0 lead.

The lead grew by four in the third as the Raiders batted around sending 10 to the plate.  The frame featured five hits and three stolen bases.  Colgate got run scoring singles from Hartquist and Amanda Zranchev (Budd Lake, N.J.) as well as a RBI double by Brittany Hanrahan (Frankfort, Ill.).

In the fourth, Alana Dyson (Grovetown, Ga.) led off with a single before stealing second.  The freshman scored on a single by Hartquist.  Colgate tacked on two in the sixth on a bases loaded walk to Hartquist and a sacrifice fly by Nicole Siedhof (Canton, Pa.).  Natalie Siedhof blasted her second homer of the game in the seventh, a solo shot.

Michelle Hollebeke (North Reading, Mass.) pitched four perfect innings before being taken out for one frame.  The Peacocks got two hits and all four runs in the fifth.  The sophomore returned to the mound and set down St. Peters in the sixth and seventh innings to improve to 7-1 on the year.  Hartquist finished three for three with four RBI, while Dyson posted a three-hit, three-run performance.  Natalie Siedhof went two of three with two solo homers.

The Raiders erupted for eight runs in the top of the first in the victory over the Knights.  Colgate sent 12 batters to the plate and after the lead-off out, nine consecutive batters reached base.  The Raiders posted five hits and took advantage of one FDU miscue and two base on balls.  The inning was highlighted by a pair of two-run doubles by Hartquist and Natalie Siedhof as well as a two-run single by Melissa Babb-Renta (Glenview, Ill.).

After FDU posted its run in the top of the fourth inning, Colgate answered with three in the bottom of the frame, courtesy of the Siedhof sisters, to get in position to “run rule” the Knights.  Ortega reached on an error and was promptly bunted to second. With one out, Nicole Siedhof drove in the sophomore with a double.  Natalie Siedhof then followed with a two-run round tripper, her fourth of the season.  FDU went quietly in the top of the fifth.

Jesse McCarrick (Oak Hill, Va.) pitched three scoreless innings and allowed only one hit.  The senior improved to 5-1 overall.  Courtney O'Connell (Palm Harbor, Fla.) finished the final two innings for the Raiders.

The Raiders will play their final two games in Florida, Saturday.  Colgate will attempt to avenge an earlier setback to Hartford at 9 a.m. and then will once again square off against Marist at 1 p.m.
