LEWISBURG, Pa. (2/21/10)
-- Bucknell forward Patrick Behan had 24 points on 11-of-14 shooting to go along with nine rebounds as the Bison defeated Colgate 69-49 at Sojka Pavilion Sunday afternoon in a Patriot League match-up.

Freshman point guard Mitch Rolls (Coffeyville, Kan.) led the Raiders with nine points, six boards and three assists.

Rolls scored eight of his points in the first 5:20 of the game, tying the score at nine after a layup. From that point on, Behan simply dominated, scoring 16 of Bucknell's next 18 points to give the Bison a 27-15 lead with 7:12 left after a jumper. The Bison led 32-21 at the half.

The Raiders were able to cut Bucknell's lead to eight points early in the second half after a three-pointer from junior point guard Joe Hoban (West Chester, Pa.). Bucknell countered with a 10-2 run thanks in part to six points from forward Mike Muscala. At that point, the Bison led 42-26 at the under-16 timeout.

Colgate responded strong out of the timeout with five straight points off two free throws from senior guard Kyle Roemer (Martinez, Calif.) and a three-point play from senior forward Ben Jonson (Dallas, Texas), cutting Bucknell's winning margin to 42-31. That would be as close as Colgate would get, as the Bison used a 10-1 run late in the second half to seal the game.

Muscala and forward Bryson Johnson each scored 12 points for Bucknell, which shot 62.5 percent in the second half.

The Raiders were cold shooting throughout the game, accruing a 34.6 percent field goal percentage and making just four three-pointers.

Colgate (8-18, 4-8) will play Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The game can be seen live on Patriot League All-Access.
