Raiders Face Siena on the Road Tonight

The game will be televised on Time Warner Cable Sports
HAMILTON, N.Y. (11/15/10) - The Colgate women's basketball team will face Siena tonight at 7 p.m. in Loudonville, N.Y. The game will be televised on Time Warner Cable Sports.

The Raiders (0-1) are coming off a 59-47 setback to Rhode Island on Saturday. Sophomore Jhazmine Lynch (San Diego, Calif.) had a game-high 18 points, three steals and three rebounds while senior forward Krista Moser (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) had a game-high 12 rebounds and junior center Tricia Oakes (Evergreen, Colo.) contributed 11 points for the Raiders.

THE SERIES
The Raiders will meet Siena for the 16th time in the program's history. Siena leads the all-time series with Colgate 13-2. The two teams first met in 1981 at the Manufacturers Hanover Invitational in Syracuse, N.Y. and played each other every year until 1990. This will be the first time they meet in 20 years. The last time they met was in 1989-90 when Siena defeated the Raiders 81-54

SCOUTING SIENA

The Saints, who are coming off a 57-43 loss to Navy on Friday, finished the 2009-10 season with an overall record of 11-18 and was seventh in the MAAC conference with an 8-10 mark. The team was picked to finish eighth in the preseason poll.

Siena is led by senior forward Serena Moore and junior guard Cristina Centeno, who are the team's only returning starters from last year's squad. Moore, who was a Preseason All-MAAC First Team selection, led the Saints with an average of 13.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game, while Centeno was fourth on the team with an average of 6.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
