Raiders Host Bucknell For Patriot League Regular Season Title

HAMILTON, N.Y. (4/17/09)— The Patriot League regular season comes down to one game for all the marbles, as the No. 13-ranked Colgate University men's lacrosse team hosts No. 18 Bucknell Saturday, April 18 at Andy Kerr Stadium. The game is "Senior Day" and is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Time Warner Sports.

The winner will be the No. 1 seed and host the four-team Patriot League Tournament, while the loser will be the No. 2 seed and face No. 3 Navy in the semifinals. Live stats and video will be provided on the Colgate Athletic Website.   
 
The Raiders and Bison are facing-off for the 27th time with Bucknell leading the series 16-10. The Raiders have won the last five meetings, including the Patriot League Championship game last season 13-9.
 
No. 13 Colgate (9-3, 5-0) enters with an eight-game winning streak after beating Lafayette 12-10 on Saturday, April 11. The Raiders offense is led by senior attacker Brandon Corp (Chittenango, N.Y.). Corp has a team-high 53 points off 30 goals and a career-high 23 assists, Corp, also leads the nation averaging 4.42 points per game. Classmate Kevin Colleluori (Bethpage, N.Y.) is right behind him with 43 points off 32 goals and 11 assists for 3.91 points per game, sixth in the nation. Senior Nick Monastero (Bohemia, N.Y.) has 26 points followed by junior Zack Craumer (Greenwich, Conn.) with 17.
    
Sophomore face-off specialist Jim Carroll (Nesconset, N.Y.) is 102-of-192 in restarts for a .531 success rate. He also leads the team with 45 groundballs. Between the pipes junior Tim Harrington (Lutherville, Md.) is 9-3 on the season and sports a 9.19 goals against average and .545 save percentage. He is averaging 10.95 saves per game.
 
No. 18 Bucknell is 7-6 overall and 5-0 in the Patriot League after an 18-10 win over Lehigh on Saturday, April 11. Austin Winter leads the team with 38 points off 11 goals and 27 assists, his 27 assists rank third in the nation. Joe Mele is second on the team with 26 points, 23 goals and three assists. Jake Clarke leads in face-offs with a .625 and groundballs 79. His 79 groundballs rank sixth in the nation. Nick Sciubba and Matt Antonelli split time between the pipes. Sciubba has a 4-4 record with a .562 save percentage and an 8.41 goals against average, while Antonelli is 3-2 with a .590 and 6.58.
