HAMILTON, N.Y. (1/23/09) - The Colgate women's basketball team returns home this weekend to host Patriot League opponent Bucknell University on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. on Cotterell Court.
The Raiders (4-15, 1-4) will look to end a five-game losing streak and win their first conference game of the season. Colgate recently fell to Lehigh 63-47 on Wednesday. The Bison (9-8, 1-3) have lost their last three conference contests including a 75-58 to Lafayette this past Wednesday.
Bucknell leads the all-time series 18-31, including wins in both meetings last season. The Bison defeated Colgate 65-36 in the first game of the season on Jan. 26, 2008 and again on Feb. 23, 88-57.

The Raiders are led by sophomores Sami Kozlowski (New Market, Md.) and Tayler Wejnert (Ramsey, N.J.) averaging 9.9 and 10.8 points per game, respectively. Georgia Gier (Mercer Island, Wash.) leads the team in rebounding, averaging 6.5 per game, followed by freshman stand-out Tricia Oakes (Evergreen, Colo.) with 6.4 boards per game and 9.6 points per game.
Colgate University and the women's basketball team are also holding a food and shoe drive at Saturday's game. Each fan that donates three cans of food or a gently used pair of shoes will receive free admission to the game. All donated shoes will be given to the Samaritans Feet Organization.
