HAMILTON, N.Y. (3/20/08) – Colgate head football coach
Dick Biddle has announced the signing of 32 players for the Class of 2012.
“We are excited about our incoming recruits,” said Biddle. “I feel that this is one of our better classes and that as a whole the group has a passion for playing football. They will add depth at many positions and I can foresee a number of them having significant playing time both offensively and defensively, and in the kicking game this coming fall.”
This year’s recruiting class features players from 10 different states: Pennsylvania (6), California (5), Florida (5), New Jersey (4), New York (4), Georgia (2), Maryland (2), Ohio (2), Illinois (1) and North Carolina (1).
Colgate will graduate 13 letterwinners from last year’s team including six starters – two on offense and four on defense.
Colgate will open spring practice on March 30, with the regular season slated to start at Stony Brook on August 30.
