TCU Over Colgate 62-37 With A Strong Second Half Effort

Ben Jonson led Colgate with 13 points and six rebounds.
FORT WORTH, TX (12/30/08) – Senior forward Kevin Langford tallied 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Texas Christian University to a 62-37 win over Colgate Tuesday afternoon at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.

The Horned Frogs snapped a two-game losing streak to improve to 8-5 overall, while Colgate falls to 3-8.
 
Ronnie Moss was TCU's other player in double figures with 18 points, including nine straight in the second half. He also had five rebounds.
 
Junior forward Ben Jonson (Dallas, TX), playing in his home state, led Colgate with 13 points, six rebounds and two assists, while senior Alex Woodhouse (Alexandria, VA) tallied six points, grabbed six rebounds and blocked three shots.
 
The Raiders played a strong first half leading at halftime, 27-26, before collapsing in the second half, being outscored 36-10. The Horned Frogs' Langford scored the first six points of the second half, and TCU never looked back. Colgate scored its first field goal of the final 20 minutes at the 13:18 mark.
 
In the second half, Jonson scored four points, and Woodhouse added Colgate's final six points.
 
Colgate shot 28 percent from the field, while TCU made 42 percent. The Raiders were only 4-of-17 from 3-point range. TCU won the battle on the boards, 42-27.
 
Colgate remains in Texas for a game at UT San Antonio on Friday, Jan. 2.

GAME NOTES: Jonson has four straight games in double figures ... Colgate led at halftime for only the second time this season ... Woodhouse moved into third place in career blocks with 134.
