Men's Tennis Falters at American

Mickey Gallagher won No. 1 singles with Marshall Wheeler.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (4/16/06) - The Colgate men's tennis team fell 6-1 to American on Sunday, April 16 at Reeves Tennis Courts.  The Raiders began the match winning the doubles point but couldn't hang on as the Eagles, who are undefeated in the conference, won all six singles matches.

Marshall Wheeler and Mickey Gallagher started the match with an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles over Nicolas Frayssinoux and Juancarlo Vazquez.  Martin MacIntyre and Tyler Deck followed up with an 8-6 victory at No. 2 doubles over Sebastien Proisy and Andrew Singer.

The Raiders (6-12, 3-3 PL) have now wrapped up their regular-season schedule and will await the other league matches this week to find out if they will make the Patriot League Tournament.
