Simonds was named the Colgate Male Athlete of the Year following a record setting senior season. Simonds a 2009 all-American, was one of three FCS players selected to compete in the 85th East-West Shrine game. Simonds broke the Colgate single season record for touchdown receptions with 14 and finished fourth at Colgate in both career receptions and receiving yardage while earning first team All-Patriot League honors in 2009.
