Annapolis, Md. - The Colgate men's soccer team saw its three-game winning streak snapped in a 2-1 loss at Navy. McKenzie Plank scored the game-winner in the 52nd minute for the Midshipmen. Sean O'Sullivan scored the lone goal on a penalty kick for Colgate.
Eric Gorden put Navy on the board at the 25:05 mark when he put a rebound past Josh Cohen. Carter Stapleton was credited with the assist.
Plank then opened up the second-half with his second goal of the season off a pass from Kris Huff.
Colgate cut the lead to one when O'Sullivan buried a penalty kick in the 62nd minute.
The Raiders were unable to muster any more offense to tie the score and fall to 1-2 in the Patriot League this season.
Colgate returns to action on Wednesday, October 13, when Siena visits Hamilton for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
