Lou Fiorillo enters his second season as a volunteer assistant coach with Colgate volleyball.
"We are very fortunate to have someone with Lou's expertise and experience on staff,” Colgate Head Coach Ryan Baker said. “He is a great supplement to our strength training staff here, especially given his long successful tenure with track and field. Lou really understands what our athletes need in terms of lifting, agility, and nutrition. I feel we are seeing great gains in speed and athleticism with his supplemental knowledge."
A NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Fiorillo brings more than 30 years of experience as a physical education teacher in the Corning-Painted Post Area school district. He served as head coach for a variety of programs during his educational career as he worked with CPAA’s football, basketball, volleyball, and swimming programs. Since 2005, he has served as the owner and operator of Fiorillo Fitness, providing personal training services for clients of all ages.
The father of Colgate assistant coach Kristen Baker, Fiorillo earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education at Lock Haven State College and received his master’s degree in education from Elmira College.
