Ashley Capone was named Colgate's Marketing and Events Fellow in August 2019. She previously served one years as Director of Volleyball Operations for the Raiders.
Capone joined Colgate Athletics after spending two seasons at her alma mater, SUNY Brockport, where she served as an assistant volleyball coach.
While at Brockport, Capone assisted with the planning and execution of team practices, with a focus on hitting and blocking. Also coordinating team travel logistics and scouting reports, Capone was on the Brockport staff from August 2016 through May 2018.
Capone was an intern with Brockport's Division III NCAA Compliance and Eligibility center from August 2017 through May 2018, during which time she assisted in all aspects of compliance and student-athlete eligibility tracking, as well as developed travel itineraries for men’s basketball and football NCAA national semifinal appearances.
A native of Lowville, New York, Capone played two seasons for the SUNY Jefferson volleyball program, serving as team captain for the 2013 campaign. The Cannoneers were Mid-State Athletic Conference Champions in 2012 and Capone was a two-time All-Conference First Team player. Capone then played two seasons with SUNY Brockport, where she earned All-SUNYAC First Team honors and led the Golden Eagles to the 2015 SUNYAC championship.
Capone first graduated with an associate's degree in mathematics and science with a concentration in allied health from the State University of New York at Jefferson Community College in 2014. Capone then graduated from The College at Brockport with a Bachelor’s of Science in kinesiology and minor in psychology in 2016, and completed her Master of Science in education and athletic administration in 2018.
