Zach Brown was named an assistant coach of men’s and women’s track and field in March 2021.
Brown makes his way to Colgate after nearly two years as an assistant coach at Stevenson, where he primarily worked with sprints and hurdles and assisted with the jumps and multi-events.
While at Stevenson, Brown coached two All-Americans and five athletes who qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships. During the 2019 season, he was named USTFCCCA Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Mideast Region Assistant Coach of the Year.
Prior to Stevenson, Brown was an assistant coach at Dickinson College, where he designed and implemented training for men’s and women’s sprints, hurdles and jumps, while also working on strength and conditioning programming for sprints, hurdles, jumps and throws.
Before Dickinson, Brown served as an assistant coach for Marywood, where he also worked with sprints, hurdles, jumps and throws.
Brown is a 2015 graduate of SUNY Brockport, where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2014 and his master’s degree in education the following year. While a Golden Eagle, he was a two-time NCAA Division III All-American as a member of the 4x100-meter relay team.
