Colgate University Athletics

Chuck Monteith has been announced as an associate athletic trainer, working primarily with the men's lacrosse program. He returned to Colgate in 2005 to work with the football team and was no stranger to the staff having worked previously for the Raiders as an intern during the 2002-03 season.  

Prior to his return to Colgate, Monteith was enrolled in the Ithaca College graduate program, and earned his master's degree in exercise and sports science in May 2005. While studying for his master's degree, he held athletic training duties at Cornell University. He provided medical coverage for men's lacrosse and sprint football.

During his internship at Colgate, Monteith worked with field hockey and men's basketball, and provided non-traditional season sports coverage.

He is a 2002 graduate of SUNY Cortland, where he graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor degree in athletic training.  He provided coverage of the women's basketball and baseball teams, and completed an internship with the Cornell football program.

A native of Farmingdale, Maine, Monteith is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
