Korab Syla joined the Colgate women’s soccer staff as a volunteer assistant in Spring 2017.
Syla, a native of Yonkers, N.Y., is a 2015 graduate of Syracuse. He played two years on the Orange men’s soccer team after a two-year career at the junior college level with Herkimer County Community College. Syla appeared in 40 games throughout his career at Syracuse, making 21 starts. He was named the Offensive MVP of the Central New York Classic as a senior in 2015 and posted one goal and three assists in his final season.
While at HCCC, Syla led the Generals to back-to-back NJCAA Division III national titles and consecutive Region III championships. He was named the 2012 NJCAA Player of the Year after registering 33 points behind six goals and 21 assists. During his two years at HCCC, Syla tallied 16 goals and 25 assists.
Since his graduation from Syracuse, Syla has worked numerous soccer camps and served as a teaching assistant at the ElmCrest School in Syracuse.
Syla graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies.
